This post may be coming out of left field as someone representing herself as a style blogger. But, I am still a real person, with a real regular job aside from blogging, with a real budget. I have also become a minimalist in my age, which may also be ironic for a style blogger. Nevertheless, I want to represent myself as authentic as possible, and hope to connect my style and theories behind my wardrobe with like-minded girls, because at the end of the day, we do like to wear our favorite sweater or favorite pair of jeans over and over. Am I right?
With that being said, I understand that trends come and go, and quickly, and I have to be honest, I don’t love every trend that comes out. I have to ask myself if I can see myself wearing it the following year, 2-3 years, etc. I also have to be mindful of what I would be paying for said item, and if I would get enough wear out of it to justify the cost. And frankly, I like every day looks more than representing a style and wardrobe that is truly not who I am, very trendy, just to make a sale or keep my Instagram feed “interesting.”
I could go on and on about this subject, really, but I hope that wasn’t too much real talk for you! Let’s talk about this outfit now! Do you recognize these pants? Did you read this blog post? I hope so, because this is sort of an “in addition to” blog post, showing you yet another way to style an item in your closet: these trousers.
They are just as neutral and basic and comfy as your favorite pair of jeans, and literally can take you everywhere from the weekend to date night to work! They fit TTS, I’m in a small, and they are just $55. Getting lots of wear out of them like I mentioned above makes this price doable, in my opinion.
Have you tried trousers yet? I’d love to hear your favorite way to style them! Thank you for stopping by and reading! xoxo
I love those shoes!
Love that pop of print! Happy Friday!
I love this post! You look so great here in the pink top and I just adore that leopard clutch!
Your so right….good timeless pieces make styling so much easier in the long run. I love a good trouser…the pairings are endless.
I’m working my first job and on a pretty tight budget right now so I LOVE re-wearing things!! It’s so practical and more realistic! 🙂

So many great tips! I needed to read this today.
Such perfect accessories!
I agree with this post completely. I don’t want to buy new things for every season and always try to re-wear pieces in my closet.
Totally agree with you! I definitely try to re-wear a lot of pieces in the daily life. Love your look too!
I think that it’s so important to wear the pieces in our closets multiple times–over and over again. So, thanks a bunch for writing this post. I absolutely love your outfit!
I’m always so guilty of only wearing a percentage of my clothes! I definitely need to remember this before I think I have nothing to wear!

My rule is: if I can’t think of two or three things on top of my mind to pair the item of clothing with, then I cant buy it. That way I am sure I can get a lot of rewear out of it
Oh I like this rule!! I’ll have to apply it too!
I am always re wearing the same pieces and I love when other bloggers share more practical outfits!
Yes, and that’s the reason I wanted to start blogging, because I’m just a regular girl, just like my audience!
I love remixing pieces in my closet!! Those pants are fab!!

So cute! We are all about mixing and matching for more outfits.
I’m all about rewearing pieces and trying to find ways to bring certain items into the next season
so much yes for this post! Most people can’t afford new wardrobes all the time. Re-wearing items in a fresh new way is key!
Absolutely! And as a blogger, I want to be as transparent and real as possible!
