Blush and navy are not two colors I would immediately think to pair or wear together, but I when I found this $9 skirt, (YES $9!!) I wasn’t sure what I would wear with it right at first. I don’t see it online yet, but I linked some others that are as low as $5, believe it or not.
That same day I also purchased this feminine blush top, just because I liked it and needed some more tops that aren’t basic v-neck tees, since that’s what I wear normally. When I got home and tried to play around with the skirt I tried it on with the blush top I picked up and actually really liked it. Since they are two distinct colors, well, more so the navy, it’s always a good idea to wear a neutral shoe. And these neutral block heels have been on heavy rotation lately, so I hope you aren’t tired of them yet! I picked them up for $31, y’all. They were originally close to $100. Love when that happens!
If you saw my Instagram post from Sunday then you know that I was in Houston over the weekend for lots of fun and blog-related things. After all the work was done I had a great night out with some ladies, some that I had met that day, and we ended up dancing, where I wore these shoes. They transition so well from office/formal looks to nights out!
I don’t know what it is but lately I am really drawn to ruffly skirts, especially ones with a drop waist, like this ruffly skirt. I am patiently waiting for it to go on sale. Isn’t it perfect for Fall!? The fabric and pattern are what make it so appropriate for the season. Anyway, back to my skirt I am wearing. I always am drawn to navy; it just seems like a classy + classic color that works well for any occasion. Throw in the $9 price tag on this navy skirt and it’s a no-brainer. It would also look great with a white classic button down top, or with a cute chunky sweater and booties. Fun and flirty pieces like this skirt are good to have around so that you can change up your looks and styles, without having to always run out and buy something new. With that being said I hope to inspire you girls to re-wear and re-create looks with items already in your closet. That is why I started my blog after all, because I strive to be real and transparent and relate to everyday girls. I am an everyday girl myself, after all.
I am still a little wiped out from the weekend, so I’m sorry if this post and short and sweet! P.S. Be on the lookout for a fun collaboration post coming Wednesday, bright and early! You don’t want to miss it! Thanks for stopping by! xoxo brandi
