I don’t know if this only applies to first time Moms or Moms that have babies several years apart but holy moly the products and information out there are… overwhelming, to say the least. I have been reading about and researching lots of baby items from pacifiers to strollers to camera monitors for a few months now and the best thing I can say is that I have probably heard of everything on the market. I’ve got some ideas about what we are going with but still up in the air on some big things too. Here’s what we felt confident in and have gotten so far.
This Pack N Play Playard. I’ve heard lots of great things about it and I like that it doubles as a travel sleeper and a diaper change area. When I got it it was 50% off, which sealed the deal. I’ve also heard parents that put their babies to sleep in this next to their beds for the first few months, since it has a bassinet seat on top of it.
These Pampers Swaddlers infant diapers. Pampers has always been a trusted brand in my family so I snagged a big box of them. Same brand, but different kind, are these Pampers Baby Dry diapers. I like that they offer 12 hours of dryness + have a wetness indicator for when baby may need a change.
Knowing I want to incorporate neutrals into his nursery color scheme I bought this polka dot faux fur accent pillow at Anthropologie. It’s also a cute piece that can be used anywhere in the home. It feels down filled too, so, it’s comfy.
Speaking of nursery I had my eye on this convertible crib for several months and originally was planning to get it in black. But after polling my sisters & mom they convinced me to go with vintage gold, and I snagged it on sale during the Black Friday sales! I like how it grows with baby and eventually can be used as a toddler bed. Anything that stretches our money is a yes for me.
This was the first stuffed animal I bought for him when I was about 10 weeks pregnant. I like that it comes with a little book too. I have a soft spot for Jellycat stuffed animals and this mini size was too cute to pass up! Not trying to go overboard on all things bunny, considering his due date is Good Friday/Easter weekend, so I am trying to limit the cute bunny things I’m buying! These come in 3 size options which I plan to get a mix of.
One of you ladies actually recommended this diaper blowout blocker and after laughing that this is an actual thing I immediately added it to my cart on Amazon. As a first time mom dealing with lots of dirty diapers this hopefully should prepare me for those extra dirty diaper episodes. Anything that helps, right?
