Happy Monday! Today on the blog I am giving you three fun girls night ideas, with the perfect outfit choice! When I saw this skirt I knew I needed it but didn’t quite know at first where I would be wearing it. Then it hit me: This skirt is something I’d actually wear to a couple of occasions: Maybe a wedding, maybe a fancy date night with my boyfriend, orrrr to a fun girls night out, or in! (Read below for this!) What is great about this skirt being black, a neutral, is that you can pair it with a dressier top or even a white tee, and this beauty can be worn with a leather jacket when it gets cooler, too. Win-win!
Without further ado, let the sharing begin!
1.) I imagine wherever you live it’s still quite nice outside in the evenings, which has me personally craving and savoring patio evenings, with light bites and sips, gathered around a table, relaxing and laughing with good friends. Just picture it: it’s a weekend night, everyone is off of work, maybe you’re celebrating a friend’s birthday, and you’re thinking a bottle of bubbles for the table is in order. Sound good to you? Sounds great to me! Do you have a favorite patio restaurant or hangout in your city? One that seems to be a go-to, whether that is for the best drinks around, the best happy hour prices (even on the weekend! Let me know where that is and I’ll be there quick!), or just some good music and ambiance? Right before sunset is my favorite time to be outside, and doing it with all of the above in your company is too fun! Throw in a little acoustic music and the evening is set. Don’t forget to all pick your favorite get-up in your closet and put on your cutest shoes to match. It’s fun to get a little fancy every now and then, am I right?!
2.) So let’s say the patio sips are going well, and maybe another gal in the group orders a second bottle of bubbly. The music is picking up, and soon dj-style music is playing in your background as the acoustic singer is packing up for the night. The night is still young-ish to leave this restaurant and find your favorite place to dance! This outfit is the perfect option to twirl and shimmy in! Just don’t drop it too low, or it can be “too short.” 😉 I don’t know about you but going out to “clubs” and dancing is something that we’ve always done where I live since we were old enough to get in. Nowadays let’s be honest…. I hardly ever frequent a club, but I do still LOVE to hear my favorite dance tunes (Think 90s rap. Salt N Peppa anyone?) so an occasional night out dancing with friends can be good for the soul! Make sure to throw in a request or two of your favorite songs and have everyone join in on the fun.
3.) Let’s say you’re like me most weekends—welcome to the over 30 club—and prefer to enjoy your sips in the safety of a non-moving vehicle. This is where something that I absolutely love to do comes in: Have a themed girls night in! What is that, you ask? This is where one of you hosts your group of girl friends at their home, or yours, and have everyone bring something food and/or drink-wise that makes sense for your theme. For the theme you can choose your favorite type of food, think Mexican or Latin, your favorite tv show or character, Real Housewives of _____, the list goes on. Make sure the memo is out to get dressed up, heels optional. You can make or put up a fun photo booth type backdrop, get some fun props, and turn on your best playlist!
Let me know if you try any of these ideas, and specifically what theme you choose if you decide to hang indoors! Also let me know what your favorite thing to do for a girls night is! I’m always up for new suggestions. I appreciate you stopping by to read this post. xoxo brandi
