To me, a bar cart is essential in every home. Even if you aren’t a big drinker or entertainer, a bar cart packs so much versatility for a decor piece, and usually at around $150 or less, it’s a must have. I’ve seen them styled as a side table against a wall in a family room, as an accent table in an office, and of course the obvious, stacked with pretty, tasty bottles of your favorite beverages and all the pretty glasses and accessories to match. With all the different ways to style one, today I am showing you how I jazzed mine up for Valentine’s Day this year. Keep in mind that a lot of these decor pieces can be kept year after year, and are inexpensive to change out an item or two.
Now, there are basic bar carts out there in slightly varied shapes, but most of them are very similar to the one I have. There are some with multiple shelves or even some with a wine and glass rack built in. That will be my next one! Sort of killing two birds with one stone there!
Below are my favorite bar carts.
Mine is from Target, I’ve had for it about 4 years now, and it’s still in stock. It’s probably one of the most classic ones out there, and for good reason. It’s the perfect size and the gold accent is exactly what I need to keep the rest of my decor in line.
It’s so easy to change out the Holiday or color specific pieces, but the keep the essential bottles of liquor and mixers, glasses, etc., and I normally hit up Target’s bargain section in the front of the store when I want to change my cart’s theme and decor. The few pieces that I do keep on it year-round are this bar tool set, this leopard ice bucket, drink recipe books, and some sort of decorative towel.
In addition the specifics above that I keep on my cart, you can also add and swap out anything for candles, some greenery or pretty flowers in a vase, and decorative trays. I also love the idea of adding fun garland on the cart or above it on the wall, if you don’t have a piece of art there. Keep it simple, don’t overthink it, and just have fun with it! Now, invite some friends over and have a wine and cheese party!
*Note: A lot of these items were purchased in-store at Target, in the bargain section. I linked as much exact as I could find, and everything else linked is nearly identical and inexpensive!
